Water and irrigation professionals met in
Muscat/Oman
Water and irrigation professionals representing
the countries of the Arabian peninsular meet in Muscat/Oman to
share information and lessons learned.
The Arab
Organization for Agricultural Development invited six water
experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MAI)
and the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) to attend the
workshop. GTZ Water Sector Program also participated to share
its experience in Integrated Waster Resources Management (IWRM).
The results of the workshop are being used to develop
awareness programs for water conservation and water management
specific to the needs of each of the countries, their regions
and farming communities.
